Blackberry Bramble 

I grew up in the Bay Area with three younger siblings. We didn't have cellphones or gadgets and spent our days playing creatively with one another and our neighborhood friends. That free, creative upbringing inspired me! I attended San Francisco State University and graduated with a BA in Liberal Studies with the intention of getting an elementary school credential. After graduation I worked at the local high schools through a program with the Department of Rehabilitation that helped students in Special Education find and keep jobs. I left the program after a year to become a teacher at a Waldorf  methods preschool, and there I found my true love, working with the young child. I stayed at Country Day Little School for seven years, through marriage and the birth of my first child, Molly, in 2001. I had a son, Nate, in 2003 and we moved up to Grass Valley in 2005. We adored moving to the mountains and delighted in playing amongst the trees. In 2007 we welcomed our third child Finn. Life was rich and full for several years. My greatest joy has been the time I got to be home with my children during those early years. In 2016, when Finn was in third grade, I joined a friend at her preschool and spent great times crafting, gardening, and playing with the lovely preschoolers, and continued our fun for over six years. Now it is time to set off on my own preschool adventure, Blackberry Bramble.
